indie Semiconductor has announced that it has entered a definitive agreement to purchase GEO Semiconductor, a private fabless semiconductor supplier that specializes in video processors for automotive cameras. The acquisition will allow indie to offer a true sensor fusion of radar, LiDAR, ultrasound, and computer vision solutions in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) applications. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2023. With the acquisition, indie will complete its sensor modality portfolio and will immediately extend its market reach in Japan and Korea. The acquisition of GEO is expected to accelerate indie’s path to profitability and be accretive to the 2023 financial outlook.
